Part Five - Free Patterns from Fieldcrest®
Tunics have never gone out of style. This 1960's tie-on mantle made with Fieldcrest® towels is fast fashion with a flair. Use it as a topper, or a cover up at the beach, or an after the bath lounging top. However you wear it you will find it comfortable and easy wash and wear over and over again. These patterns were produced and distributed as complimentary patterns from Fieldcrest® to promote their products as fabric for sewing projects.
Part Four - Free Fieldcrest® Patterns
The Apres Bain (After the Bath) terry cover-up is sweet and simple to make. Wear it from the shower or from the pool. Either way, with a pretty print, you will move confidently in this smart little cover-up made from towels. This pattern was issued in a complementary packet of patterns and instructions to adapt patterns (such as Vogue, Simplicity or McCall's) using Fieldcrest® towels, sheets, bedspreads etc. Though the bold prints and patterns from the mod era are no longer produced, a more classic version could be made from plush solids with embroidered trim.
